Leon Surette








Leon Surette has a B.A from Queen's University, Kingston (1961), an M.A. (1964) and a Ph. D. (1969) from the University of Toronto. His dissertation was on Ezra Pound’s Cantos, supervised by Marshall McLuhan and Northrop Frye. 

He has taught at the University of British Columbia (1962-4), the University of Guelph (1966-70); Queen’s University, Kingston, Ont. (Visiting 1979-80), and taught at the University of Western Ontario from 1970 (as a Full Professor since 1980) until his mandatory retirement in July 2004.
